The only thing I liked was being surrounded by nature. There were insects, rats, you name it. The room itself was like a barn, and sleeping was impossible. The pillow was yellow and clearly hadn't been washed. The toilet was filthy, and its door wouldn't close. We got to Karaburun late at night and couldn't find any other room, so we paid before even seeing this one. We had no choice but to stay. The owners took the money, described the room, and then disappeared. They were really cunning. If I hadn't paid, sleeping in the car would've been cleaner and more comfortable. I haven't been back to Karaburun since.

The room was a mess: the dirty wardrobe was broken, wouldn't shut properly, had no hangers, and was covered in wood dust. The bathroom was filthy, the hose had burst, and the shower sprayed everywhere with nowhere to hang the shower head. Afterward, the floor was a lake. The faucet pipes were exposed. There was also an uncovered lamp, an old floor lamp with no bulb, and curtains that didn't fully cover the window. We were on the ground floor, with people walking past, so the lack of proper curtains really mattered. A portable chest sat at the end of the bed, but some buttons were broken and others rusty. All these things looked like they came from a flea market, which raised hygiene concerns. We'd paid for the first night by mail order before arriving for our two-night stay. When they asked us to pay for the second night as soon as we arrived, before we'd seen the room, we should've realized something was off. We thought maybe it was inexperience at a newly opened hotel, or perhaps they needed the money, so we paid. After taking it, the staff and manager couldn't even be bothered to talk to us. Someone in another review said, “Sleep in a park, stay in your car, but don't stay here.” They were right. If we hadn't paid for night two, I wouldn't have stayed another minute. I would've gone home if I had to. The place falls well short of any standard for rooms or service, but somehow charges a standard price. It deserves a huge round of applause for that. Don't go there. It was an indescribable experience, and I wish I could post photos of every detail so people could see how bad it was. It seems we won't be seeing you again. Goodbye and take care.

I thought people leaving negative reviews were exaggerating small problems, but they were right and I was wrong. The photos look nice, but if you get a downstairs room instead of an upstairs one, you're in trouble. You'd be better off on the street. My room downstairs had no hairdryer, and when I asked for one, they told me to bring it back. There's no outlet in the bathroom, and after a shower you get a puddle. There's no wardrobe, either, so where are you meant to put your suitcases? I could keep listing things. Better to sleep in a car. Before booking, I saw both five-star and one-star ratings, with nothing in between. When I checked the profiles of people who gave five stars and said they were very satisfied, they had only reviewed Vera Hotel. It looks like fake accounts made just to post reviews and never used again.

Rusty bathrooms, broken showers, exposed cables, rooms nothing like the photos online, and owners who were rude and surly. This was the worst hotel we've ever stayed in. It completely disgraces the idea of a boutique hotel. People who genuinely provide boutique hotel service should complain about this place, not customers. The owners' attitude shows no intention or effort to improve or provide service. Even if you're vaccinated against tetanus, don't even consider staying here.
