We only stayed one night while travelling, so the problems weren’t a major issue for us, but I wouldn’t recommend the place. It has interesting architecture and attractive interiors, yet the upkeep was poor. The bathroom was quite dirty, and one lamp didn’t work, then started blinking at random while we slept. We’d asked ahead about dinner because of earlier reviews. The food was just average: sour lettuce, dry bread, and meat that smelled of old oil. After that, we skipped breakfast. It seems only two people handle everything, so when they’re cooking, nobody is available at reception. This could have been a unique stay, but it was badly executed.

Since the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, guests need somewhere to eat. It’s a unique experience, but you have to arrange everything beforehand. They hadn’t really considered how guests would get food without a reservation.

The reception, kitchen, and service staff all provided very good service, and the property itself is very nice. Don’t miss it.

The toilet was really dirty, and the staff weren’t very welcoming. It’s a beautiful historic place, though.
