Mandalina Luxury Suites

We booked two rooms, and each one had its own pool. They were spacious, and the bathrooms were a real highlight, with impressive showers in a Hamam-Style design. The place feels peaceful and a little secluded, which made for a relaxing holiday. There weren't many people around. Getting down to the sea means taking the stairs past the restaurant and bar, but the route ends at a nice platform with sun umbrellas and loungers. It was enough of a workout each day. We arrived late on a shuttle from Antalya arranged by Mr. Feyzullah, who was very helpful. The staff took our luggage and carried it to the rooms. Breakfast was gorgeous, lunch was great, and dinner was the evening's highlight. Everyone was kind and supportive. We heard renovations were due, but still want to congratulate the Mandalina-Team on a lovely, calm, uplifting place. Keep it going. Your family Schmidt, kolay gelsin.

The view was lovely, but that was the one good part of our three-night stay in the ‘Defne’ room with three people. We paid for breakfast, which included everything, yet an older man taking orders got angry at us for ordering too much. Breakfast starts at 8:30, and one of us went down around 8:15 to ask for coffee. When my sister and I joined her, we ordered three teas, three orange juices, a menemen and a sausage-and-egg dish to share. After eating, we asked for Turkish coffee, then tried to ask for a bottle of water. We were friendly and polite to him and the staff the whole time, and we couldn't serve ourselves. Before we even finished asking, he yelled that we'd ordered enough and had been sitting there too long, in front of other guests. We were stunned. I don't think that was a lot to ask for, and even if it was, he had no right to shout at us. We complained at reception, but they only apologized on his behalf and offered no solution. He never apologized himself. The room was dirty and smelled awful. The bed and pillows weren't clean, and we couldn't sleep because of the smell. There was a dusty, rusty odor throughout, holes in the blinds, and lots of dust in places like under the bed and couch, by the bathroom-living room divider, and in the shower enclosure. It felt as if the rooms had been built and then not maintained. They call themselves luxury suites, but there was nothing luxurious about it. The room layout is a nice idea in theory, though. The booking said there'd be one large bed for two and a bunk bed. There was no bunk bed, so one of us slept on the unclean couch. They brought a cover for the bed, but it was damp and smelled moldy. There was barely any hot or warm water, so we showered cold. Reception was only open from 10? am-5 pm, which seemed strange to me. I wanted to report a couple of things but never got the chance. The stairs are a serious problem. The rooms, restaurant, pool and private beach are hard to reach, with so many steps that people with health conditions couldn't manage them. I'm healthy and in my 30s, and I still struggled going up and down, especially with suitcases. The hotel doesn't mention this anywhere. Getting into the sea was hard too. The entry stairs are right by big rocks, where the waves get very strong. My sister and I got several scratches on our legs when the waves pushed us toward the rocks as we got in and out. In my opinion, the private beach isn't worth it, so I wouldn't choose the hotel for that reason. Carruba boutique hotel, where we stayed another time, felt more luxurious than Mandalina despite not claiming to be luxurious. All the best.

We had a lovely five-night stay in May in the Fesleğen room. It was very clean, had an amazing sea view, and gave us complete privacy. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the food was great. I'd definitely recommend it for a vacation, especially for newlyweds.

We spent hours in the sun on the outdoor space, taking in the beautiful views. The private jacuzzi and that outdoor area became our own little retreat. Our honeymoon private suite at Mandalina was spotless and beautifully designed, and from the moment we arrived it felt romantic and luxurious. It really was a paradise.
