The hotel itself was good, but the reception service left me unhappy. At check-in I asked whether I could leave at 1 pm, and an employee said that would be fine. When I went to check out, I was told I’d have to pay for a whole extra night because I’d stayed from noon until 1 pm. I reminded the receptionist that I’d already received permission for the later checkout. Overall, I liked the hotel, but the receptionist’s handling of this was bad.

I asked for extra pillows at check-in because of my back pain, and the staff responded inappropriately by questioning why I needed them. The service was very poor throughout, and the staff seemed unwilling to help. Even the bellboy did more talking than the receptionist, which felt unprofessional. I left with a very disappointing impression and don’t think the hotel is worth visiting.

The hotel is new and looks lovely, with a fresh feel and even a nice scent. It was clean, and the staff were friendly. Still, we called three times and waited half an hour for an iron, and it never arrived. I also don’t understand the no-alcohol policy. I only wanted a beer while watching football in the lounge, which was empty at the time.

I’ve been coming here several times each year since it first opened, and the rooms have been great. The service, though, has always felt lackluster, and the spa has gone downhill a lot too. I visit it multiple times every summer, but prices have doubled again and again, rising faster than inflation. A Swedish massage that used to cost $28 is now $50. They’ve also changed the masseuse, and I haven’t found anyone as good as the original. It’s a shame, but I don’t expect to come back unless I have some extreme reason to.
