Music and shouting went on until 3 AM, and drunk people were arguing and making noise outside the hotel. It left us wondering whether this place is a hotel or a bar. People there seemed selfish and inconsiderate of the guests and the surrounding area, even though a bar should have some etiquette. The owner’s attitude, basically “I’ll take your money and nothing else matters,” says a lot. We came without checking reviews and regretted it deeply. We’d never recommend staying here.

Our room was actually nice, with its historic features preserved, but the noise made it impossible to rest. Music and entertainment from the floor above carried on until 2 or 3 AM. People clattered up the stairs and talked so loudly it sounded like arguing, while the music kept going. It felt like a live show was happening in our room. We barely spent time there, but that noise during sleeping hours is enough reason to avoid the place. Families should think twice. I’ve stayed in many places and never had an experience this noisy. We were quoted 3000 TL for the room two days beforehand, then two days later the price had gone up to 3750 TL. We stayed because we had no other option.

I had a terrible night, and there are much better places at the same price. My room was on basement level -1, with no bed base: just two sponges stacked to make a bed. There was no TV remote, wardrobe or hairdryer. It was unhygienic too, with cobwebs around the TV, in the ceiling corners and in the bathroom. The bathroom and toilet were dirty, the duvet was stained, and there was hair on the bed as if someone had already slept there. Don’t waste your money here.

The live music speaker was cranked all the way up, and people were doing karaoke with unbelievably bad sound. The lamb tenderloin was just as awful: it was so tough I couldn’t cut it with a knife or bite through it, even though it’s supposed to be one of the softest meats. It felt like chewing a rubber band. I joked that a health department inspection would probably get the place shut down. If you haven’t had a meal like this yet, I recommend the experience. I wish I’d gone to the municipality’s Ramadan tent instead.
