I liked the music and the garden, and the crew were nice, but the management felt unprofessional. The rooms were poorly maintained, with kitchen smells getting into them. We were hoping for choices without garlic 🤣. There’s no elevator, and even the shower handles seemed to be left without any effort to fix them.

My flight was cancelled because of bad weather, so I never stayed at the hotel. I’d booked just one night and called to cancel, but they refused. That felt quite unfair and not nice.

The owner and her crew were exceptionally kind, and breakfast was included in a very reasonable nightly price. The hotel is comfortable and just a stone’s throw from Kastamonu castle. I spent a few nights there while touring Turkey, and I think you’ll love it too.

The people were great and the place was cozy and very nice. The walls are thin, though. I could hear people talking in other rooms, and even the phone vibrating next door could shake things. It was okay for me, but if you’re not a deep sleeper, that could be a problem.

It’s a beautifully authentic, well-preserved traditional mansion, but I wouldn’t choose it for a second stay. The internet connection was very bad, and my second-floor room had only one electrical outlet. Music and loud talking in the garden went on past 00:30 a.m. Breakfast was okay.
