Kazanci Tashan Otel

I ended up here for one night after finding the hotel online by chance following my holiday. Its architecture and decor are lovely. Though it was built only two years ago, they've managed to give it the feel of a 150-year-old historic stone castle. I stayed in a suite for 275 TL, which felt reasonable. It has a jacuzzi in the bathroom, but there's no cabin around it, so showering left the whole bathroom flooded. The place is 5 km inland from the main road on the Liberation Road, and it's hard to find at night, so use Google Maps. There are still a few tolerable shortcomings because it's new. They've sorted out the breakfast issues, and it wasn't bad. Smoking is allowed throughout the facility, though, so families with children and non-smokers are likely to be bothered. I raised that with management, but unfortunately they couldn't offer a solution.

I rarely bother leaving reviews, but people planning to stay should know what happened to me. I chose this place because reviews described a quiet, peaceful setting surrounded by nature. Instead, the club next door played loud music from after 2 AM until dawn. I asked more than once and got only, “Sorry, there's a club next door.” The reception staff were incredibly loud on top of that. I wanted to leave, but the hotel is 45 minutes from the city center, so I was stuck in my room until morning with my night ruined. They moved me to another room, but it was just as noisy. The other services were mediocre. They apologized in the morning, but I hadn't slept a wink. Don't be fooled by the positive reviews. By the time you reach reception, you'll realize you've got only a few minutes to escape and save yourself.

Nesrin was so warm and attentive, and everyone else at the hotel was friendly and helpful too. My boyfriend and I spent our first anniversary here, and the fireplace in the room gave the evening a lovely, romantic feel. We had a peaceful night surrounded by nature. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting some quiet time with their partner.

The location is lovely, though getting there takes a bit of effort. The staff were friendly and well-meaning, but the restaurant really needs an experienced manager. The fried items at breakfast arrived cold, and the Menemen didn't taste good. I can't comment on the hotel itself because I have no experience staying there. My rating is about the restaurant and breakfast.
