Vodina Lounge Suites

We stayed from September 27th to October 3rd after booking our room through Tatilbudur. The room we arrived to didn’t match the picture they had shown, and Tatilbudur made things harder instead of helping when we asked about changing hotels or getting a refund. Once the owner, Mr. Hakan, heard what had happened, he spoke with Ms. Fatma and looked at the pictures we showed them. They agreed the room we booked wasn’t the same one Tatilbudur had sold us. They were kind and offered several ways to sort it out, even offering to use their own budget to arrange a room at another hotel if we didn’t like the available rooms. We decided to stay because we liked the location and quiet atmosphere. We spent two days in another room, then moved into the one we preferred. The staff were all friendly, young and cheerful. They were quick to help, sometimes even before we’d asked. We loved the generous, filling breakfast, and the cleanliness was excellent. As we checked out, our sister-in-law cleaned the rooms in front of us and even wiped the mirrors with a dust cloth, the way a mother might clean her own home. We were very pleased with the location, close to Ölüdeniz, and there were plenty of restaurants and markets nearby, so it was easy to find what we needed. This isn’t an ultra all-inclusive hotel. It’s a boutique place that offers a strong sense of security and peace of mind. Thanks to everyone for their hospitality 🙏

I first found Vodina in September and loved it the moment I arrived. It’s quiet, surrounded by nature, and felt like a real break for my soul. I was so eager to return that I came again in November, and had an incredibly beautiful week. The food and breakfast were delicious, the hotel keeps its quality up, and the staff greet you with smiles and have sincere, loving conversations. I felt like a guest, almost as if I were in my own home, rather than just a customer. Thank you again to all the service staff, and to Mr. Hüseyin too :)

The rooms looked poorly maintained in the photos and weren’t clean. The yellow lighting in my room felt depressing. They divide the rooms into pool view and garden view, but you can see from the pictures what they call a “garden view.” The pool was very small and dirty. Breakfast, served from 9:15 to 11:00 a.m., had enough variety and was satisfying. I wouldn’t trust the exaggerated positive Google reviews.

The location in Kayaköy is nice and a little cooler than other places. Without traffic, a taxi can get you anywhere nearby. The hotel looks cute and pleasant, but I wish the people running it knew how to manage it. The pool is much smaller than it looks, though that wasn’t a huge issue for us. We came expecting a really nice place based on the reviews and were completely disappointed. The rooms hadn’t been cleaned properly at all. I saw hair on the cushions when I arrived and couldn’t even touch them, I threw them straight on the floor. They never changed our towels or cleaned the room, and the bathroom was left full of hair, so we had to clean it ourselves. One day we asked to have our towels changed and were told there was no cleaner available. When we said the rooms hadn’t been cleaned, they said we had to ask for it ourselves, but nobody told us that when we checked in. They also said for two days that there was no cleaner even just to change towels. Maybe the cleaner will happen to pass by and clean your room if you get lucky :D Breakfast was fine, the waiters were helpful and the food tasted good. I can’t say the same for the owners. They seemed completely uninterested and didn’t even ask whether we were satisfied as we left. There was no small-business feeling at all, unfortunately. We weren’t pleased.
