Astoria Hotel - All Inclusive

This was the worst hotel I've experienced in ten years of travelling. When I arrived, they had no room for me and sent me to a horrible hotel across the street for the night, saying my room would be ready the next morning. Then they cancelled my reservation, leaving me to pay three times the price for a last-minute booking. This supposed 4-star place is worse than a motel. Stay away.

After a 10-hour trip, we arrived exhausted and were told at reception that the electricity was out in our booked room, with no other rooms available. They sent us to a different hotel, where the conditions were filthy, unhygienic, and inhumane. The next day they said we'd finally get what we'd paid for, but instead of the double room with an extra single bed we had reserved, we got a room with only two single beds. It's obvious to me there was no real electricity problem. Despite booking 6months in advance, the hotel was overbooked because of greed. They are dishonest and misleading, show guests no respect, and it feels like a scam. Avoid this place at all costs.

We were hungry all day even though the place was supposedly all inclusive, because the food was so bad. The rooms and shared areas were absolutely dirty, and they wouldn't turn on the AC even with 40 degrees and people sweltering in the heat. We were also misled about the location: the hotel was 70km from the address shown on Booking. This was the worst hotel of our lives, nowhere near even 2 stars, let alone 4. Run away, avoid it!

The staff were okay, but the food was the reason I give this hotel 1 star. We had all inclusive and ate almost the same things for 5 days. In Turkey you expect to try baclava, but we didn't see anything like it. The waterslide by the pool never worked, and the kids' pool water was very dirty 😕😕😡.
