Valeri Beach Hotel – All Inclusive

I was waiting in the lobby while my wife used the restroom when staff approached me in an extremely rude way. They saw my All Inclusive wristband from another hotel and started demanding personal details, including where I was from, who I was there to see, my room number, and last name. I politely refused, and they told me to leave immediately. We had only entered the lobby to meet friends, and I hadn't gone into any restaurants or other facilities. I'm a guest at another hotel, and this treatment was completely unacceptable. I don't recommend this hotel.

I had lunch at their beach bar last year and came back this year too. Of all the places I've been, it was the only one besides another restaurant in the centre that didn't try to cheat me on the exchange rate. Decent people and good energy.

We were there for 6 days in October 2024, in a second-floor room in another building a few minutes' walk from the hotel. My husband's watch went missing from the room. We couldn't find it there, and after getting home we checked everything, but it wasn't with us. The door was always locked, so we believe someone from the staff took it. There are cameras everywhere, so staff knew when we were in the room and when we'd left. There was no reception, and anyone could enter at any time. The first room's air conditioning didn't work, the fridge didn't work and wouldn't even close, and the floor was so dirty there was hair and sand on it. They eventually moved us, but only after we threatened to ask for our money back and report it to the company that sold the trip. Staff were indifferent from the start and kept saying they'd help once the manager came in, which was two days later. The new room's floor was just as dirty, so we cleaned it ourselves with wet wipes. Other things in that room were clean. The AC worked there, but there was no fridge at all. On our first Saturday evening, an elderly man was working at reception. His replacement, a young man called Burak, was OK. The older man didn't give us change for the internet charge, though I know everyone wants a tip there. He carried my suitcase two streets over to the other building and got a tip for it, then told my husband he liked Polish cigarettes and wanted him to give him a whole pack, not just one cigarette. The food was sometimes very good, but sometimes we ate nothing but cake. Some dishes were chicken stomachs, and the chicken was cut up whole with bones and skin. Apparently people eat it that way in Turkey. There was often fish, and breakfast often had scrambled eggs with sausages mixed in that were impossible to eat. We were the only Polish guests, with mostly Russian guests, but that didn't bother us. The other guests were calm, mostly elderly, and by 9 p.m. most had left the tables by the pool. Nobody ever swam in the pool. Maybe that's just as well, since it smelled strongly of water disinfectant, or chlorine, when we ate. We didn't use the hotel beach. It was tiny and narrow, made of large stones, and by morning every sunbed was already taken by another hotel guest. We hadn't paid much and didn't expect luxury, but in the heat it was impossible to stay in a room without working AC. Crockery and glasses were often dirty. I don't blame the staff, because there were so few dishes that they rushed to clear tables and get things through the dishwasher so guests would have somewhere to eat. You could see there simply weren't enough dishes. In the evenings, two men came for dinner in an expensive Porsche. It looked like one of them was probably the boss. It was sad to see the boss could afford a Porsche but not 50 glasses and plates. Without Russian, it was hard to communicate with the staff without using a phone translator. Mr Safian/Shafran often served us at meals and was very friendly to everyone. The juices were water with fruit-flavoured powder, which some people like, so they weren't bad at all. Beer and vodka were good. The coffee from the machine didn't seem to have caffeine and definitely didn't taste like coffee. There were some good things about the hotel, but the missing watch disqualifies it for us, and I'd advise people against staying there. Kemer is a very good holiday destination, just not this hotel.

The room was good, and I liked the sea view. But the food was usually cold and not good, with the same dishes day after day. The youth disco music was awful too. I missed hearing Turkish music. Next time, I'll choose another hotel.
