Grand Mir'Amor Hotel - Ultra All Inclusive

The massage I tried was amazing, and the nature around the hotel is beautiful. The beach is about a four-minute walk away, with the hotel’s own bar and free sunbeds. It has small stones rather than sand, but that didn’t bother us. There were plenty of reasonably priced day trips and water sports to choose from. Communication was hard because most staff barely spoke English, and the reception team didn’t seem happy. We stayed in two different ground-floor rooms in C block, and both had a sewer smell in the bathroom. There were cats everywhere, even in the restaurant. I wasn’t keen on the food, though my husband thought it was okay. None of the pools were heated, and in October the water felt ice cold, even in the indoor pool. There was a live show every evening, often until midnight or 1am, and it was too noisy to sleep before it ended.

There was a good range of greens and salads, fresh and seemingly good quality, and bottled water was always easy to get. The hotel also had plenty of other food, though most of it wasn’t to my taste. The coffee was terrible. Our rooms were reasonably clean, towels were changed each day, and the beds were made up very nicely. Still, the cleaning itself wasn’t very good, and one bathroom smelled of sewage. The staff were friendly and helpful, but we couldn’t get past how dirty so much of the place felt. It definitely didn’t seem like a five-star hotel. The spa was pretty disgusting. The showers were dirty and smelled bad, the toilet was clogged with someone’s waste floating in it, and one sauna wasn’t working for our whole stay. I think the massage staff weren’t professionals. The massages were okay, but not up to the level they should have been. Most of the guests seemed to be Russian, though there were also some Ukrainians and Germans.

It was about a five-minute walk to the sea. The room was kept tidy and cleaned well, so my husband and I were happy with it. The receptionist greeted us with a warm smile. Food isn’t a big part of our holidays, and we found enough to eat, so that was fine. The price matched the quality we expected.

Enes handled our booking and was really pleasant and patient with all our questions and requests. The staff were lovely too, always rushing around to help with whatever we needed, even when the bar was busy. The drinks were good, and there was a nice choice of food and beverages throughout the day. There’s a market right across from the hotel where you can find just about anything. Great value for the price.
