Viking Park Hotel

The bartender was so distracted by talking on his phone that he poured beer for my 10-year-old daughter instead of Fanta. The other problems added up too. We often had to hunt for plates, bowls and cutlery, and the dining area wasn't clean enough. The advertised towel deposit system wasn't used, and we had to buy towels instead. Although entertainment was part of the offer, the only nightly activity was a disco, with no morning options such as poolside fitness. Viking Park Hotel was listed on your website as 4 stars, but based on my stay I'd give it 2 at most.

At the pool, whenever it gets windy, the umbrellas fall onto the people below. It seems the staff leave the umbrella bases without water. The two beaches were disappointing too: the first is neglected and has nothing to do, while the second, called 07, is just about bearable. There's no all-inclusive service at the beach, everything costs extra. Service at the hotel was awful. Staff were on their phones dealing with personal matters instead of customers, and there was often a "No Service" sign at the bar. The rooms are said to be cleaned, but when we went in, only the towels had been changed. The rubbish was still there, the floor hadn't been swept and the bed wasn't made. The lift often broke down, leaving us to carry suitcases upstairs. The dining room tables and chairs were dirty, the tablecloths torn, and some dishes dirty too, so we had to find clean ones and wash the tables ourselves. Check-out is at 12:00. If you leave early on the first floor, they cut off your bracelet, meaning you can't have breakfast or lunch. The way customers are treated is disgusting. Look at the "Booking" rating of 9.5 and you'll see how the hotel cheats by giving itself the rating it wants. This is the worst hotel I've ever seen in Turkey. Everything is very sad.

The only staff who were good were the cleaning ladies, who were very polite. The rest need to learn basic manners and customer service. Rooms were very small and below average, and I had to pay for WiFi in mine. The food was the same cheap, dull stuff day after day, with lunch leftovers revamped and served again, so we ended up eating out for lunch and dinner. The music and entertainment were the same every night, and everything seemed catered only to European guests. And the supposed beachfront? There isn't one. You need to take a bus to a beach full of rocks and bubbles. The location is bad too. If you're going to Kemer for a beach holiday, stay in Kemer city centre by the beach. I just got back today and couldn't wait to write this honest review. This is not a 4-star hotel, don't be fooled. I made a big mistake staying here and definitely wouldn't use it or recommend it to anyone.

The staff were very friendly, and the room, pillows and mattress were clean. The hotel was nice and clean overall and worked well for small children. Both the main pool and kids pool were clean, with warm water and nice slides. Food had a great variety and was very good. Although the hotel isn't right on the seafront, the sea is within walking distance. We didn't like the evening entertainment. The speakers faced the hotel, so it was very loud, and the live music and karaoke went on almost until midnight, making it hard for the children to sleep. I wish the manager would reconsider where the entertainment or disco is held. The room doors should be changed too, since we could hear other guests and housekeeping.
