The next day, the staff helped arrange a taxi to the local town so I could get to Istanbul. After the stressful 42km walk the day before, I was done walking. I also enjoyed the room and the included breakfast, though I was so wound up from the day that I probably couldn't appreciate how relaxing they might have been. It looks like a great place for summer hiking, too, if that's your thing. Getting there had been frightening. I was hitchhiking from the border, which I wouldn't recommend in hindsight, and thought I'd reach the hotel before dark. I didn't, especially after armed guards stopped me to check whether I was an illegal immigrant. They were just doing their job, of course, but it was scary. Once it got properly dark, I panicked. I didn't know the area or the wildlife, so I contacted a friend for help. Using Google translate and a call to the hotel, we worked out a plan. The hotel sent someone to pick me up at a place I could describe, so I could reach my room on time. They handled it really well, even though they couldn't call me to find out where I was. I offered to pay, but they refused and said they didn't want guests stranded on the border road. I wish I could give the staff more than five stars. They got me out of a really rough situation. Thanks so much, this is a very reliable, friendly team ☺️

We stayed here just after crossing the border, and came away with good impressions. The reception service was great, and the restaurant served trout cooked perfectly at fairly low prices.

The hotel is peaceful and really close to the Bulgarian border. I've stayed here before, and each time the staff's friendliness stands out. The whole team feels like one big family. I'd highly recommend it, and I'll definitely keep coming back. Thank you ❤️🙏

I have mixed feelings. It's a nice spot, but the owner seemed frustrated when I tried to communicate. The board listed a single room at 450, yet they tried to sell me a more expensive room for 600. I had to keep insisting to get the 450 room, which was annoying. Otherwise, it's OK.
