The One Hotel

The lobby was a real problem in the 38-degree heat. It had no air conditioning, just two small fans, and the design didn't do much to keep cool air in. Our room's air conditioning did work well, though, and the outside of the hotel looks as if it was updated recently. The hallways and elevator also looked fresh. We spent five nights at “The One Hotel” in Kirsehir, using four rooms for different guests. The hotel seems mainly geared toward Turkish guests, and check-in made that clear. Reception spoke only Turkish except for one person who knew a little English, so it didn't feel set up for foreign visitors. Changing room types was complicated, and the staff weren't helpful. We'd already paid, but had to sort it out ourselves, which made for an uncomfortable start. Our room was clean, but clearly dated and not as updated as the halls. It had basic furniture, a safe that didn't work, and broken lamps. The cigarette smell was so strong I couldn't sleep comfortably and had to manage without pillows. The bathroom also needs work: it's small and dim, difficult for shaving, with a loose toilet seat and no towel hooks. The cabinets were uneven, and there were holes in the shower fan. It all gave the impression that upkeep wasn't getting enough attention. This is a common problem in Turkey, where quantity often seems to come before quality. Quality matters for attracting guests, and this hotel seems focused on Turkish visitors. Breakfast is served in a spacious, tidy area on the fifth floor. The buffet is Turkish food, which won't suit everyone; bread choices are limited, and the coffee machine could be better. The staff there were friendly and kept things in good shape. It was also a plus that smoking isn't allowed inside. I have mixed feelings about the place, and wouldn't stay here again. It's not a bad hotel, but the details need attention. With some changes and better quality control, it could stand out and become the best in Kirsehir.

For a one-night stay, this place is just right: quiet and clean. There's a restaurant near the intersection and close to the hotel with great food and beer. Breakfast was great too, with proper, real coffee, and the staff were friendly.

Everything felt fresh and spotless, and the service was both professional and super friendly. The open buffet breakfast was top notch, with everything tasting fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend. Thanks to everyone.

It's a very nice hotel overall, with kind staff and great food. The one issue is that some rooms smell of smoke. I wish they had separate rooms for smokers and non-smokers.
