Asya Hotel

I had booked four nights, but today, just before I was due to arrive, I was told without any prior warning that the booking had been cancelled. I got no message from the hotel, and they gave no reason, even though I’d found a good deal. This feels deeply irresponsible and untrustworthy, and I can’t recommend them. Check your email carefully: you could arrive thinking your reservation is still active and only then discover it’s been cancelled. If I hadn’t checked mine, I wouldn’t have known. Be careful.

The location is good, and the hot tea was nice, but the cigarette smell made me feel sick. Our triple room was very small, and there’s no lift. Breakfast was hard-boiled eggs, salad, bread, and some jams. There’s no shower screen, so the whole bathroom floor gets wet after a shower, and it’s slippery and hard to wear my long pants afterward. The staff were kind of...

We were caught in the rain and getting desperate as it was getting late, so we needed somewhere right away. These were the only people willing to lower the price, but the place couldn’t manage even the basics I wanted: a clean bed, hot shower, and clean toilet. The toilet was so disgusting that I asked to switch rooms. The hot water also wasn’t working; they eventually fixed it, but by then it was past midnight. Cigarette burns covered the bed cover, and staff spoke so little English that communication was difficult. This was my worst nightmare. Stay away if you don’t want disappointment. It deserves zero stars.

Right in the city center, this hotel has clean, spacious rooms with AC and a decent breakfast. I’d recommend it.
