Park Dedeman Konya

We stayed on 1st April 2026. The hotel is beautiful and seems new, but it felt only half finished. There was no gym, and the cups in the room were paper instead of glass. The room itself looked lovely, though the finishings weren't done well. The shower switched unpredictably between hot and cold, the floor was dirty, and the heater made the room so hot we had to open the window overnight. Dinner was very average, and it took a few tries to explain that we had a booking. The staff seemed surprised. Breakfast was a little better, with a varied selection of Turkish food. At the restaurant, though, there was a strong smell of smoke. The staff tried their best and were warm, but many seemed to need training. They didn't understand English, which made communication hard. Reception staff did speak English. It's a small thing, but this was the first hotel we'd visited where the staff generally didn't. It's a little far from the town centre, but there's a grocer migros right next door. Restaurants were being built nearby during our visit, so we imagine the area could be lovely and lively in a few months. If we were Turkish and weren't expecting a gym, I think we'd have enjoyed the hotel a lot more.
