Bodrum Astrid Hotel

The restaurant shuts at 3 PM, so there wasn't anywhere to eat at the hotel for the rest of the day. When I asked for ice afterward, I was rudely turned down. It felt like a self-service hotel, without the comfort or convenience that should come with that. The shared area couches were filthy, and the whole property seemed neglected. The elevator was broken when I arrived, so I had to carry my bags up several flights of stairs without help. Staff were busy gossiping instead of assisting guests. Service in general was appalling and almost nonexistent. The WiFi had been down for days. When I asked about it, I got the same answer other annoyed guests had heard, that it would be fixed in an hour. It never worked during my stay. I also raised the problems with the receptionist, who reminded me about the strict no-refund policy instead of offering a solution. I stayed at Astrid Hotel recently and found it incredibly disappointing. I wouldn't recommend it. Between the poor upkeep, lack of help, and rude staff, it was an unpleasant stay. Find somewhere else.

The beach was quiet, and the water was really pleasant. Even after we checked out, the staff took us there in a buggy. They were helpful and kind throughout, and gave us useful information. We only stayed briefly at the Astrid, but it was a very pleasant visit. The room was spotless, roomy, and thoughtfully designed, and the restrooms were clean too. I loved the hotel's layout and design, it had a calm, peaceful feel. Breakfast was great, and the service was above expectations. I'd choose the Astrid again next time we're nearby, and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, quality stay.

We had delicious food at the hotel restaurant, including good vegetarian choices. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was very clean, with sheets in great condition. It's around 45 minutes from the city centre and far from public transport. If you have your own rental car and want somewhere quiet away from the city, though, this place is a gem. We only stayed a short time, but it was a very pleasant visit. The hotel is good quality, modern, and beautifully decorated.

After four trips to Bodrum, this has become my favorite hotel. Astrid is cozy, with a stylish interior, tasty breakfasts, and a good menu. The manager and staff are kind and accommodating. Taxis can be a bit tricky to get, though I'm sure that problem will ease with time.
