A gentleman named Ahmed was exceptionally helpful when I visited Best Garden Hotel & Café. Although he wasn’t on duty, he went out of his way to serve and assist me, and I really appreciated his kindness and professionalism. The rest of the service was very poor. I had to wait a long time before anyone acknowledged me, and ordering was difficult because staff struggled to understand English. One short woman with long black hair was very rude, which is not how customers should be treated, especially when they’ve travelled from another country. When I raised my concerns, the manager or owner, I’m not sure which, was unhelpful, didn’t speak English, seemed not to understand the complaint, and appeared unconcerned. Based on my experience, the management and customer service are poor, and I wouldn’t recommend the place.

The location is the best part: the hotel is in central Aksaray, beside the metro and tram stations, buses, and the HAVAIST bus station for the Istanbul airport. The breakfast was also the best, fresh, delicious, and clean, and the dining service from Badrya and the room service were great. Melano and Ahmed at the front desk were the best, too. This is the best hotel I’ve ever rented in ISTANBUL. I strongly recommend it, and honestly wish I could stay here forever 😊

I arrived to find that my booking had been canceled without telling me, and my room had been sold to someone else for more money. The receptionist was rude and didn’t care about fixing the problem. It felt like they had no respect for guests. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve had. The place seems to care about money, not the people staying there. If you want a good trip to Istanbul, I’d look for another hotel.

The breakfasts are unforgettable: fresh bread, flavorful tea, and a great selection of cheeses. The traditional Turkish breakfast is a real feast. We were also welcomed with Turkish coffee and a breathtaking view of Aksaray. The shisha café has a cozy, authentic feel and is a must-visit if you enjoy a smoke. Best Garden Hotel feels like home to me, and each stay keeps reminding me why I return. The owner is gracious and warm, with genuine Turkish hospitality, and the service seems to get better every time. It’s a wonderful retreat where comfort, relaxation, and convenience come together. I can’t imagine a better experience anywhere else in Istanbul.

The rooftop one-bedroom studio was spacious, clean, and warm, with room for up to five people. At $90, it was very reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful whenever needed. Breakfast was okay, though there were flies on the salad and cheese, even in midwinter.
