Flower Palace Hotel

It's close to the metro and tram, so getting to the sights was easy. There are also heaps of great restaurants nearby. Our double room was a good size, clean, and comfortable, with a comfy armchair and two big mirrors. It was really warm when we arrived because both the towel rack and heater were on. Staff said the rack couldn't be turned off, but I managed to switch it off later. When I needed it a couple of days after that, I couldn't get it back on despite trying different settings. Housekeeping was a bit substandard, sometimes missing towels and other times tea cups. It was inconvenient to keep asking, but the staff were always nice and helpful when I did. All in all, a good stay for the money.

The reception staff were very supportive and helpful, and the service and daily cleaning were good. It's comfortable and affordable, though not a luxury hotel. I stayed three nights with my wife, who was 5 months pregnant, and we could explore most of Istanbul on foot from this prime location. Sultanahmet, the Egyptian Bazaar, Grand Bazaar, and nearby bridges are all within walking distance. The metro station is about a 5-minute walk, so airport travel is easy, and there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Late checkout isn't offered, and even a short extension costs a full extra day. Free luggage storage is available at reception, and you can use the rooftop washroom after checkout.

We were really satisfied with our first week-long stay here. The rooms were spotless every day, and the sheets were changed daily. A special thanks to the housekeeping ladies for their excellent work, and to the smiling reception team. The location is great, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend it for the location and the whole experience. If I come back, this is definitely where I'll stay. Thank you!

It's a decent stay if location is your main concern. The hotel is handy for essentials, with restaurants nearby and many attractions within walking distance. The payment setup could be better, though. It doesn't take many international credit cards, and when booking through Booking.com, online payment isn't available. I can understand that, but it would help if the hotel clearly said that it only accepts cash. They take Euros and Turkish Lira, but not USD, which might be inconvenient for some guests.
