Florya Novi Hotel

The sea is right there, which made for lovely walks when I wanted to unwind. I was here for almost two weeks. The staff were amazingly friendly, and breakfast was OK. At night, though, the restaurant or club upstairs gets really annoying, and the hotel can't do anything about it. You have to choose between a sea view with traffic noise and a room without the view that gets train noise. It's decent for the price and looks brand new after a recent remodel. Would I return? Maybe, yes.

The food was beautiful, and breakfast is especially good value. Just a two minute walk from the beach, the hotel is in a perfect spot. The whole team treated us like family and did everything they could to make us comfortable. I'd happily recommend the place, and I'll be back later this year.

The cleaning team was wonderful, and the hotel itself was very clean and cozy. Mrs Sibel was also very nice, sweet, and polite. But her team didn't seem professional enough for international travelers expecting a certain quality of service, unlike what I'd expect from most family-run businesses. The staff behavior brought the service quality down and cost the hotel points.

The room view was very nice, but the furniture was below medium quality, and there was almost never any quiet. The metro rails are 50 meters away, with the road directly underneath. We booked two rooms in the second week of July. The sewage smell was awful in the corridor and in the bathrooms, apparently because of a floor drainage problem. We could also clearly hear people talking in the two rooms next to us, as if they were sitting beside us. I think the gypsum board partitions have no insulation. The next day we ordered food from an outside restaurant, and management argued with us because outside deliveries weren't allowed and they wanted us to order from their restaurant. Its choices were very limited, and the food was a little expensive. We didn't feel comfortable at all.
