Gelidonya Pansiyon

The hosts were the best part of our stay. Rather than pay for an expensive taxi up the coast in the morning, they drove us into town and helped us flag down a car to hitch a ride along the route. The location is beautiful, the breakfast was delicious, and the room was clean and quiet. Highly recommended.

Karaöz is a small village, and this lovely little place is right beside an excellent beach. Our hosts were genuine, down-to-earth locals, with their family living nearby. It felt like Turkish hospitality at its best. The host family had also put together a small museum full of old and ancient odds and ends. Just fantastic.

The hosts went out of their way to help, which was unusual enough that I had to mention it. The rooms are a little small but exceptionally clean. We had a generous breakfast and very good fresh fish for dinner. I highly recommend this pansiyon.

The kitchen was well stocked, the rooms were simple and clean, and the showers had hot water. They also make their own yogurt, which was absolutely delicious. We had lovely evening conversations with the host about his collections and adventures on the Lycian Way. Such a special stay, with remarkable generosity and friendliness!
