Hotel Melike

I had a pleasant six nights at Melika Hotel in Kusadasi at the end of May 2025. I got in at 5 a.m. and they checked me in straight away, giving me a nice room with a balcony and a lovely view. The staff were all kind and helpful, and the room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was good, with the restaurant on the seventh floor looking out over the sea, trees, and land. A few seagulls sometimes came by too. The hotel is near Delmus station (No. 5), so getting to the city centre is easy. Ladies Beach is a short walk away, with plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and souvenir shops. Internet was high speed, but only in the lobby. It was my first time without internet in the room, though sitting on the balcony and enjoying the nice weather worked out well. Thank you to the management and staff, especially Mr. Suleiman. I'd be happy to stay at Melika Hotel again if I travel to Kusadasi.

The staff at Melike Hotel were kind and respectful throughout, and that's why I gave it two stars instead of one. Still, our stay had a lot of problems. The rooms looked much worse than in the photos, and the sheets were dirty. There was barely any soundproofing, so we could hear neighbors talking, shouting, showering, and using the toilet. When neighbors smoked, the smell came into our room too. The toilet hardly worked. A repairman came after we reported it, but barely fixed anything. The Wi-Fi was also nearly useless, so we mostly relied on 4G in the room. There were no "Do Not Disturb" signs, and staff entered to clean when we were out. We had to make our own sign to get some privacy. We paid for breakfast, but there was no water or juice, the coffee was undrinkable, and the food wasn't very good. We eventually stopped going. Our booking said we'd have a balcony with a sea view, but we weren't given that room. I've included photos to show what I mean. At around 50 euros a night, this wasn't cheap for us, and we expected much more.

We chose this place for our honeymoon in spring, and I loved how quiet it was with the hotel not crowded. It's a calm spot to enjoy this beautiful town. If vintage and cozy is your style, it could suit you too. The rooms were fine, the view was great, and the staff were super nice. The owner is a lovely lady, and we enjoyed chatting with her. It's just a two minute walk to the famous "ladies beach," with the town public transport station around the corner. Free Wi-Fi works in the lobby, not the rooms. We didn't mind since we weren't using our phones much while resting.

The price really wasn't justified. The room was old and dirty, the furniture was worn and didn't work properly, and the hotel's internet connection was painfully slow.
