We paid 8,000 lira for four people and it felt like a complete rip-off. We asked for a room for four but were put in one meant for three, without blankets or pillows. There’s no internet, either. Reception was rude and unhelpful, the workers were horrid, and management seemed completely incompetent. Food was disgusting. We found hairballs in it more than once, much of it seemed frozen and reheated, and they appeared to recycle scraps into other dishes. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were the same day after day. Even getting cutlery meant begging at the bar, and I imagine it’s worse when there are more than 60 guests. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. If you care about your health, comfort or sanity, stay far away from Club Hotel Paptya.

The place was a nightmare. Everything was dirty, including the rooms, bathroom, pool and the tables where we ate. The sunbeds and umbrellas were broken, and the staff were horrible. The food was the same every day, and there was nowhere to eat except the tables outdoors. The hotel had no knives or forks, so we ate and drank from plastic plates and glasses.

We waited more than five hours for our room keys. Each time we asked how much longer, the receptionist said the room would be ready in five minutes, over and over, at least ten times. They barely knew English, too. Disappointed.

The rooms were clean, the food had a good range, and the hotel was nicer than we expected. Our only issue was the small size of the rooms and bathrooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. We hope to return next year.
