Pine Bay Holiday Resort

We spent seven nights at Pine Bay Holiday Resort with our family, and left with a really positive impression. The staff made us feel welcome and were ready to help, especially the reception team, Ilyas and Orkun, and Sezer, the concierge. Everyone spoke English, and the signs were clearly in English too. The facilities, location, and catering were all good. Thanks for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. When we're back in Kusadasi, Turkey, we'll definitely visit this 5-star resort again. The last straw was the response from guest relations when we raised our concerns. They were dismissive and uninterested. We came back for our honeymoon after enjoying a previous stay, but the hotel has really gone downhill. We were in room 3624 from September 30th to October 3rd. The buffet area had cockroaches, and stray animals roamed around the dining area, which feels like a public health problem that needs preventive action. At the bar, it was hard to get the cocktails you wanted, and staff seemed careless. The elevator between the hotel and beach was broken for a whole week. There were also large groups of men behaving in ways that disturbed other guests, despite this being presented as a family-friendly hotel. Most employees, apart from reception, seemed unhappy and served guests with obvious frustration. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes the needed improvements so we might consider returning.

The rooms feel old, and cleaning was hit or miss. Sometimes the trash wasn't taken out, and even basics like pens and notepads were missing. There isn't a physical guest book at reception, just an electronic one. The buffet restaurant was poorly run, with long waits at food stations, slow table clearing, not enough cutlery, and an area that often seemed dirty. It was hard to find a peaceful spot outdoors because of all the noise, and loud parties at night plus poor soundproofing made it difficult to rest. Service was rude, and the experience didn't match what we paid. The staff on the left side of the hotel, cabana maybe, are dishonest. Double-check the terms and conditions with guest relations. I can't recommend this place, especially if you care about peace and privacy.

We spent three nights here in mid-August with my wife and 15-year-old daughter. Even during peak season, the hotel didn't feel packed and we didn't run into long queues. Some guests put towels on sunbeds early, as happens at many resorts, but we still found places by the pool or beach after breakfast without trouble. There was plenty of tasty food available throughout the day, and we never saw excessive lines. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Based on our stay, I'd definitely recommend it.
