Avantgarde Levent

Everything was ready for us when we arrived, and the place was clean. The people were friendly too. We stayed three nights and will definitely come back here on our next trip to Istanbul. Thanks for looking after us.

There was a fly in my beer halfway through, and even though the waiter noticed, he only took away what was left and still charged me the full bill. No replacement beer was prepared. Earlier, I had sat right by the bar after 9 pm, thinking I was the only diner. The bartender then spent 40 minutes to an hour talking loudly with a staff member who had just come out of the kitchen, which made dinner really unpleasant. I won't be going back to this restaurant.

AvantGarde Urban looks nice from outside, and the rooms have good amenities. I stayed for a week because of the location. But after three nights, I came back around 4 pm and housekeeping had only just started cleaning my room. I noticed a dirty mattress but thought it was one spot, so I let it go. I refused cleaning for the rest of my stay and tried to change the sheet myself. That's when I saw stains across the whole mattress. I told the manager, who moved me straight away to a much cleaner, more decent room, and I appreciated that. The hotel needs to replace mattresses in that condition if it wants to stay in business. Housekeeping also needs more training and better communication with the supervisor.

We had a nice dinner at the restaurant, and the hotel is in a good spot near shops and restaurants. Zorlu shopping Center is within walking distance. The hotel itself is very nice. Highly recommend it.
