Berry Blue Hotels

We’re spending our final night here, and I can’t complain. I’ve been here four days and had something different to eat each day, despite seeing reviews that said the food was repetitive. The food, staff, and facilities have all been superb. It’s in a quieter area, which suited us well.

It’s only a 10-minute taxi ride to Side Old Town, which worked perfectly for us. The employees were fantastic and happy to help any time, day or night. The shower head was a little broken, but still usable without a problem.

The cocktails were great, especially at the Lobby bar, and we had a really good Turkish Massage at the spa. The location is great too. Still, the stay fell short of what we expected. Food was the same every day and always cold, soup included. We reported the broken shower head twice and it never got fixed. Other English guests told us they had the same issue. Even at checkout, nobody asked how we’d enjoyed the stay or thanked us for choosing the hotel. There’s room for improvement before we’d think about returning.

We’re on the way back to the airport after five days here. The rooms were absolutely amazing, and we got free upgrades to family rooms with much more space and a bathroom each. The minibar was fully stocked with free drinks. The staff were super helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. A few things weren’t so good. The restaurant doesn’t serve alcohol, so you have to get your own drinks if you want one with a meal. I’d give the food 6 out of 10. I’m used to five star hotels, and it was very mediocre, nothing fancy but certainly edible. The trips booked through the hotel rep weren’t great: we paid through the earth for a couple of days out, and once they insisted on cash for the £400 payment. There are serious numbers of cats. If you love cats, you’ll be in your element, but if you’re allergic, please avoid this hotel. As a whole, I’d rate it 4/5 stars. Perfect for families with young children, less so for middle-aged adults without kids. I’d stay again for a quick, chilled break. Thanks.
