Diamond Sea Hotel

The room was roomy and clean, and the hotel’s new condition showed throughout the premises. We liked the beachfront location, the welcoming staff, and the varied food. The pool was very cold in October. I’d definitely recommend the photo team and optician, you won’t be disappointed. We had a very good vacation.

The food was good, but the way it was covered and served by waiters felt very disruptive, and they seemed to serve it as they saw fit. The bars had set menus and opening times, but communication was difficult because the staff there didn’t speak English. The animators were the biggest problem for us. Their lack of professionalism put us off the activities, and one man playing games with the kids was a nightmare. The pool aerobics instructor was the only one worth mentioning; the rest felt like something out of a Hitchcock horror film. The hotel itself is clean and well cared for, with large rooms and a nice, clean pool. The sandy beach is nearby and gets cleaned from time to time. Daily room cleaning and restocking the minibar were unreliable, though. Sometimes neither got done.

The rooms are woooow, really clean, and the customer relations man deserves five stars on his own. He was friendly, smiling, and made us feel welcome. The pools and excursions give you something to do, and it’s a very child-friendly place. Still, after more than three days we found it VERY boring, even though we chose a resort stay and knew it was right on the beach and in the middle of nowhere. It’s a nice spot to relax, but would I return? I’m still thinking about it. The food was good, though the patisserie desserts all tasted much the same and could use work. Some reception and restaurant staff could be friendlier. At reception they often seemed bothered when we asked for information. In the restaurant, they sometimes walked away after saying “ok” before we’d finished asking for a drink.

Adam from the entertainment team was really nice, always smiling and making sure everyone was invited to join in. The beach was amazing and clean, and the pool was clean too. We also had massages and were very happy with how the staff looked after me and my husband. The hotel was brand new, so everything was sparkling clean, and the staff followed the COVID protocol throughout our stay. One downside was that some staff didn’t speak English very well. Even so, this was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in.
