Elysium Elite Hotel&Spa

Food was repetitive and hard to get, and the furniture was falling apart. Our first room was dirty, so after we complained about the cleanliness they moved us. Rooms are cleaned daily in general, but there was still plenty of grime left behind. Some reviewers clearly enjoy this place, but I’d steer clear unless you’re after two-star accommodation at four-star prices.

The room was poorly equipped, with hardly any TV channels and air conditioning that barely worked. We were also charged extra for towels even though we’d booked all inclusive, and nobody had mentioned that beforehand. It felt like a money grab. There was no elevator, which made things awkward, especially with staff unprepared to help with our luggage. We were given little information about where things were or when meals were served, so there was confusion and unnecessary stress. Reception staff were unfriendly from the moment we arrived, and the room was awful, stained, unclean, and nothing like the online photos. The hygiene situation bothered us too. Some guests ate in the pool area, in their rooms, and even by the sea. From our balcony we could see and hear the hotel across the street’s entertainment. Their music and children’s shows were clearly much better than ours, whose music and entertainment were poor quality. This was the worst hotel stay we’ve ever had. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The staff were a real bright spot, especially at reception. They were kind, helpful, and hardworking, and clearly trying their best. The food wasn’t good, especially breakfast, though lunch and dinner were somewhat better. There were ants in the rooms. We brought grapes in once and they were everywhere, so don’t bring food into the room. There’s also a graveyard in front of the house, which was horrible. On arrival they put us in a very small, dirty room. The air conditioner didn’t work, there was hair in the bathroom, and the shower was disgusting. We moved rooms the next day. The new one was better and the AC finally worked, but there was no wardrobe, so we had to keep our clothes in suitcases the whole time. I didn’t enjoy staying here.

The hotel is three stars at best. The location wasn’t great since there was nowhere to go for a walk, and the reception area was overcrowded. Wi-Fi only worked at reception. At the bar, the staff seemed unhappy at work and only understood “Sprite, fanta, cola.” Most people staying there spoke Russian and no English. Horrible. There were two outdoor pools, and I was glad one was away from the kids. The main pool was packed with children, with queues for the slide. The slide injured my daughter, so I can’t recommend it. The evening shows weren’t very good either. Food was good, with lots of desserts, although they were very similar. I liked the coffee, but half the coffee machines were broken. Our shower had no warm water. We brought grapes into the room once and ants got everywhere, so don’t bring food in or they’ll attack it. Maybe it’s perfect for Russians, but I don’t recommend it for others. I’m not coming back.
