Orient Apart Hotel

The location was okay, about 10 minutes from the beach area of Side. Renting a scooter or something from a local vendor is an option, and I paid 15€ per day. The bed was comfortable, the room spacious, and they had EU plug sockets and check-in available around the clock. On arrival I was shocked, and I definitely wouldn’t call this a four-star hotel, though the stay wasn’t completely terrible. During my 10 days, the pool stayed empty. There was no air conditioning, hot water and WiFi both cost extra, the place smelled strongly of smoke, and the staff were generally unfriendly.

The small, family-run feel at Oriental apartments made our holiday. They treated us like family, and the food was very good with friendly staff. It never felt overcrowded. We’re definitely coming back.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the little shops along the way to the room had nice people who’d always stop to talk. It got annoying that they kept trying to sell me things, though. The room was clean, and breakfast was okay, with coffee, bread, feta, sausage and eggs, but not much choice. At night, loud music played until at least 11, even when nobody was in the restaurant. I couldn’t sleep until it was switched off.

Shopping is right outside the door, and the location worked well for us. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean, the food was fresh and tasty, and while the selection wasn’t huge, there was enough. The employees were friendly. It’s a 3-star hotel, but I’d give it 5. Very satisfied and happy to recommend it.
