Sırma Hotel

The bar staff tried to be pleasant and smile, but that couldn't make up for the rest of our unpleasant stay. I'm used to visiting hotels in many countries, and this one left me very disappointed. The room was spacious, but there was no safe, and the dirt and dust under the bed looked as though housekeeping had missed it for a long time. The bathroom wasn't small, but the water pressure was terrible. It also had no forced ventilation, so it stayed misty after a shower and smelled after using the toilet. Service was poor. We had an evening visitor and wanted to meet in the lobby, but staff wouldn't let us stay there, saying it was hotel policy. The room Wi-Fi didn't work, and the lobby connection was slow and unreliable. As an IT engineer, not having proper internet made the stay a nightmare, and working from the hotel wasn't possible. There was no air conditioning in the lobby or the breakfast and dinner areas. In a Mediterranean country, dining in the heat with everyone sweating and red-faced was absurd. The cutlery and glasses were dirty, too. This hotel also isn't suitable for people with disabilities, for many reasons. I could say more, but I won't waste your time. Do not stay here.

The pool is tiny, almost like a bathtub, and there are no water slides. The kids' animation is only a 30-minute disco; the rest costs extra. Daily childcare is paid, and if your kids are meant to get approval and a gift at the end of the day, you have to pay for that too. Laundry also isn't included. Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby, where it's awful at busy times, so getting things done or talking to relatives is difficult. Room Wi-Fi costs extra. The free alcohol, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., is limited to vodka, wine, and beer. Cocktails and everything else cost at least 6 euros. The Fanta, 7up, and other drinks are poorly mixed and don't taste like the real thing. The cafeteria has no air conditioning, so you feel like you're boiling. Friends staying at other hotels aren't allowed in the lobby. They were ready to call the police while we were just talking to each other.

It's close to the beach, and technically all inclusive, but I wouldn't give it four stars. Three at most. The rooms are okay, while the restaurant is in poor condition, hot and humid with no air conditioning.

Right by the beach, and a really nice hotel. The rooms were cozy and clean, and the size of the place felt just right. The staff were lovely, and the food was great too.
