All in all, the hotel feels like a cave surrounded by concrete and walls. The beach area is tiny and crowded with guests from the other Seher hotel, and there are only two toilets. The pool entrance is extremely slippery, so watch out. There’s no music directly around the pool, only from the stage, and it’s very quiet. In the evening, though, the music and animation are incredibly loud. The reports about food poisoning are real, not exaggerated. The four of us are currently sick with diarrhea, vomiting, fever and cramps, and other guests say they have the same symptoms.

As a solo male guest, I found it very quiet. You won’t have the animation team inviting you to the day’s activities or a photographer trying to take endless pictures, because neither of those things existed. The food was very basic, and I expected more from a new 4* hotel. It felt very poor to me, and cleanliness was average. Like other guests have said, I was unwell for a few days with vomiting. When I told reception, they just shrugged, as if it was common. On the last day I went down for the advertised buffet breakfast at 04:30 before heading home. There was only toast in a dark restaurant, and the previous night’s dishes were still on the trolleys. On my way to get coffee, I walked through a huge puddle.

Both my partner and I became ill during our recent stay, with vomiting and diarrhea, which significantly affected our holiday and well-being. I’m very concerned about the restaurant’s hygiene. At breakfast, a helmet and jacket were put on a tray holding clean cutlery. The person they belonged to was seen picking his nose, then setting tables with clean utensils and collecting dirty dishes. This is unacceptable and suggests a lack of supervision and basic hygiene practices. Several online reviews describe similar complaints and say they weren’t taken seriously. That points to a systemic problem that needs urgent attention.

The tennis court at Seher Resort & Spa was one of the main reasons we chose to stay there, but I can’t recommend it. It was unusable because of a strong unpleasant smell from nearby garbage containers and poor maintenance. Anyone hoping to play tennis should know the court is in very bad condition and may want to look at other nearby options. I hope this helps future guests make an informed decision.

Getting around locally was easy by public bus, or dolmuş, at 1-1.50€ per person. The line to flag down on the main road has Evrenseki written on it. I recommend going to Side or Manavgat for more of a city atmosphere, since this area has hotels in both directions and not much else to see or do after 1-2 days. There are lots of cats on the 3-5min walk to the hotel beach. The 16+ rule was a big plus for us, and there’s everything you need inside the hotel. The pools had plenty of comfortable sunbeds, and we could always find a couple free. There’s a drink bar and snack bar by the pool, with good cocktails, burgers and waffles made fresh when requested, plus fruit and ice cream. Wifi worked really well throughout the building, around the pool, and at the beach bar. Our room was comfortable for two, with enough closet space, a balcony, and a wall-mounted drying rack for swimsuits. The minibar was regularly restocked, and towels and sheets were changed often. The bathroom had a spacious shower with 3 showerhead options, a hair dryer, and the usual hygiene and comfort supplies, including a dental kit, cotton pads and buds, shaving kit, and 2in1 gel and soap in dispensers. Items in packets weren’t restocked, though I’m sure you could ask. I found the pillows too thick and the blanket more like a sofa cover. There was even a phone beside the toilet, which made more sense after I possibly got food poisoning on day 3 and went through the toilet paper quickly. Please wash your hands carefully, fellas! The air conditioning and lights had a fairly smart system as well as manual switches, but it seemed to overthink things. Every time the door opened and closed, it assumed we’d left and switched off. Then we had to move around for a few seconds to trigger the room’s motion sensor again. Staff were really nice and attentive. They usually greeted us in German or Russian, but English was manageable too. There are tip boxes for each department if you want to leave something extra. For more complicated requests, or when talking with the room service ladies, humour, kindness and body language helped, since English didn’t get us far in my experience. We were welcomed at the door by a young man who carried our luggage inside, showed us to the room after check-in, and explained how everything worked. We arrived around 11 in the morning and got into our rooms straight away. 5/5 because I have no reason to give less.
