Tas Motel

The owners were lovely and helpful, and the place was generally clean. From outside, the motel looks beautiful, but the facilities let it down: the tap was broken, water flow was too weak, the bathroom lock didn’t work, and the toilet paper holder was broken too. The AC filter was so dirty that we cleaned it ourselves. Breakfast was poor as well. The cheese and olives were low quality, and they only served white bread. We stayed four nights, and cheese-filled fried rolls were served on just one of them.

The host was incredibly rude. He argued with me and told me to leave, as if I could find somewhere else at the last minute. He even said I’d never come back, and he was right: I’d never stay here again, even if every other part of the hotel were perfect or it were a five-star place. Thanks. Never ever. The rooms weren’t comfortable, with old furniture, poor internet, and a small, broken bathroom that felt like it was from another century. The hotel also wasn’t where Google Maps showed it. We nearly walked into someone else’s house, and when I raised the issue, he said it wasn’t their problem. Parking was our main priority because they said they had private parking. Then the guy told us to use the municipality lot, which might have a space, and take the shuttle back. I know he’ll say everyone in the area does it this way, since he told me that while I was there. Other people making the same mistake doesn’t justify it. We felt tricked, had to deal with traffic, found a parking lot fortunately, and paid the full night rate. If I’d known they had no parking lot, I wouldn’t have stayed.

A lovely place to stay, with great breakfast and lovely people. Very good quality for the price.

The hotel is tucked into greenery, just a three-minute walk from the sea, and the beach is all sand with shallow water for 50-60 meters, great for children. There are three different shores where you can swim. During the holiday period it was still quiet and relaxing, and the garden and music at the hotel made it easy to unwind. We went as a family, and the room worked perfectly well for my wife, our two children, and me. Breakfast was adequate, and the service and attention were top-notch. Mr. Vedat, Mr. Çağlar, and their family made this a wonderful holiday, better than we’ve had in a long time. They also pointed us to affordable, tasty food in a family-friendly setting. We could order takeout and eat well at very reasonable prices. Alcoholic drinks are available to buy at fair prices too, if you want them. Given how beautiful Side is, this felt like perfect value for money. I’m ready to leave behind five-star hotels where you’re surrounded by walls and crowds. If you want a peaceful, relaxing break with a family warmth, I definitely recommend it.
