The hotel puts you right in the center of the attractions, and the room service and front desk staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast timing let us down, though. It wasn’t ready until 8:20-8:30am, when hotels should have breakfast out by at least 7:30am. Mardin flights start departing at 8-8:30, so guests leaving then would miss it.

We had to wait another 15-20 minutes for breakfast to be ready, as it still wasn’t set out by 8 am. The location is great, and the staff are professional and very welcoming. The environment was clean and hygienic.

The staff were super nice and helpful, and I don’t want this review to discredit them. The location is right on the main street, close to everything, without having to climb stairs to get around. We visited at the end of May, when the weather was amazing, and paid about $200/night. We got a suite, but it was just a spacious room with furniture that didn’t serve a purpose. One pillow smelled like cat pee, which was pretty horrid. The TV was really small, and we had to ask reception for the remote. At night there was no hot water. The jacuzzi never had hot water during our stay, and the boiler only worked in the daytime, so don’t expect an evening shower. The AC only blew cold air, which wasn’t comforting when it dropped to 50-60 at night. They advertise free parking, but the hotel doesn’t provide any. There’s a lot within walking distance, but it’s always full, costs $16 per day, and doesn’t accept long-term parking on weekends. The rooftop restaurant has nice views, but doesn’t serve alcohol, so we had to go elsewhere for a glass of Suriyani wine. There are better hotels nearby at similar or lower prices.

The staff were consistently friendly and respectful, and we appreciated the hospitality and service. The rooms and sheets were clean, the AC provided effective heating, and the bathroom had a thermometer available at all times. There’s a small refrigerator, though no minibar. Our room had one double bed and one single, enough for a small family. This is a BB template guesthouse with plenty of food available early in the morning, from 0800-1100. It’s in old Mardin City, within walking distance of most common tourist spots. Since it’s on the main street, there’s no parking lot, which could be a problem if you’re traveling by car. For a visit, the best time is late April to mid May, when it’s warm. Otherwise, it can get too hot, around 40 degrees. Thank you for the good service and welcome.
