Hilton Garden Inn Mardin

The views were nice, and the hotel felt clean, probably because it’s fairly new. It isn’t really within walking distance of anything, so the location wasn’t the best. I’d have liked more variety and better quality at the breakfast buffet. I’d stay again if I just needed a place to sleep, otherwise I’d look for something nearer the old city.

The suite was spacious, with two bathrooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast was great, though nothing special. I usually like Hilton hotels, but this one didn’t feel worth the price. The pool wasn’t clean, there were cockroaches, and outside visitors came in. They behaved badly and disturbed us a lot. Room service wasn’t great either. We had to make the beds ourselves, and there was a stain on the mattress.

The room and bathroom were large, and the bed was comfortable. But the locker didn’t work, neither did the air conditioner, and there was no shampoo. We were asked to wait an hour because cleaning service didn’t start until 10am. They should check that each bucket is stocked. This wasn’t the experience I expected from a Hilton hotel. The road to the hotel runs beside construction sites, with no lamps or shops along the way, so it felt unsafe. The road is also bad for walking.

The staff were brilliant and went above and beyond. Thanks to Savaş, Özgür and Hayretullah and maid. Hilton Garden Inn Mardin is a top hotel in Mardin, with a superb atmosphere, well-appointed rooms, and everything spotlessly clean. An excellent experience all around. Thank you.
