Almena Hotel

We booked this at the last minute after our first hotel cancelled, and we're happy with where it is. It's near all the places I like, just a short walk from Blue Port and the shops and bars. The buffet breakfast is good. Our room was smaller than rooms at other hotels we've stayed in, but it gets cleaned every day and the staff are brilliant, so I can't really complain.

The hotel and rooms were old, though the buffet breakfast was nice on two mornings of our five-night stay booked through Expedia. On the third night there was a 5.8 magnitude earthquake, and my family and I were shaken badly and barely got out with our lives. The hotel was almost destroyed. We asked for a refund for the remaining two nights, but the hotel refused because we had left by our own decision. Given the price-performance comments, we won't stay here again. You should love yourself and not stay here any longer.

We found the place clean and comfortable, with excellent service and prices that were quite affordable compared with other hotels I'd stayed at around marmaris. Even at a lower price, the quality felt much better than most. The pool was big and very clean, and I heard other guests say the same. Breakfast was an open buffet with lots of options, all tasting really nice. The staff were super friendly and always tried to help with whatever I needed. The location is close to everything but quiet enough to relax. I'd definitely come back without thinking twice.

The people working there, including the receptionist, were very nice, and the beds were comfortable. But the hotel is very old and in bad condition. The bathroom was gross, with water leaking from the ceiling of the shower from the restroom above, and hair all over the shower. Breakfast was poor, even the bread wasn't good. There was a tobacco smell everywhere, including in the rooms.
