Club Cettia Resort

The air conditioning was barely enough and made so much noise I had to sleep with earplugs. The rooms feel very old, like they haven’t been updated since the 1990s, and I wouldn’t call this a four-star hotel. The entertainment also fell short of what we’d been told. It seemed like you had to be a regular to get along with the staff and entertainment crowd. People said Nail, the pool bloke, was lovely, but we didn’t get that feeling at all. We got dirty looks all week. It all felt very cliquey. No thanks.

The entertainment kept both kids and adults busy, with activities during the day and at night. Bee and Coco were brilliant, and Nail, who looks after the pool, would go out of his way to find you a sunbed. We never had trouble getting one. We chose half board, and the food was absolutely gorgeous, cooked to order with a good range to pick from. The wait staff were lovely, and Engin, the bar manager, was such a lovely lad. Everyone we met on staff was happy to help. We arrived late this time, and Mehmet at reception even ran up to the top floor so he could be there when we got out of the lift and help us to our rooms. It was our third year at these wonderful apartments, and we’ve already booked again for next year. If you need anything, Lush in the shop underneath the apartments is a fantastic man who really makes your holiday. We can’t wait to come back ❤️

There’s entertainment all day to keep the kids going, plus fab shows in the evening. A real gem for families. The staff are always helpful, friendly, and respectful to everyone.

Coco has the balance right with the entertainment. I’m not usually keen on animation, since it can feel cliquey or disrupt a peaceful holiday, but he’s funny and enjoyable to watch even if you don’t join in. His assistant Bee is friendly with everyone, runs the kids’ activities, and the children love her. I enjoyed our chats too. We’d like to come back later in the season, as I imagine high season gets a bit manic. We arrived in mid-April for 11 days, our first stay at the Cettia apartments. The apartment had a living and kitchen area, a bedroom, and a bathroom. Our balcony looked through some trees toward the hotel next door, so it wasn’t very interesting, though probably quieter than some others. There was no hot water for the first couple of days, but the temperature gradually came up during our stay. The room was cleaned daily and we got fresh towels every day. The food and service at the ege bar were excellent. All the staff there are a credit to the company.
