I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. It was a horrible stay. Most of the staff were rude and unfriendly, with the manager and one person at the breakfast buffet as the exceptions. Our room was tiny and not very clean, with no tissues or water provided. The bed covers were ripped and had holes. Breakfast was very limited and not good. I only ate toast and butter, then skipped it the next day. It’s served just from 8 to 10, which barely gives you any time. The cereals were stale and old, though the jam selection was good.

We stayed for seven days, me with my three kids, aged 12, 16, and 17, in room 306. There were four single beds, and the room was nice and clean. It had two air conditioners with a remote, which was welcome in the heat, plus a kettle, mugs, tea, and a mini fridge. Clocks would be an easy thing to add. Bins were emptied and toilet roll refilled every 2-3 days; reception kindly gave us more when we asked. You can hear outside voices through the rooms because sound carries, but it honestly wasn’t a big deal for us since we were out during the day. The WiFi was a bit slow and better in the lobby, I think, but usable. Staff were kind and friendly. We arrived at 3am, and they explained breakfast hours and showed us to our room. If you book through tui, someone comes to sell overpriced excursions after breakfast on the first day. Don’t book through them. We were told online booking was unreliable and their high prices guaranteed things, which was a lie. We booked a boat trip directly with boats on marina for £60 for all four of us; the hotel man had asked £30 per person. The trip on Neptune Star was lovely, we got the captain’s number in case anything happened, and the transfer was on time. We did book a waterpark excursion through the hotel seller, but he wouldn’t answer the phone, even after reception tried calling. We waited 45 minutes for the transfer, and it only came because another seller from the same company heard us getting frustrated and made a call. The massage seller does take no for an answer. The pool was great, 1.5m deep, with a few floaties to use. The mosque can be heard day and night, but we got used to it. The night call might wake small children. Overall, I’d come back. Marmaris is amazing.

For all the noise, I’d say the hotel’s four-star look is about where the positives end. Sound echoes everywhere, and there’s no soundproofing in the rooms. We heard people coming back from clubs, couples having loud fights and screaming matches. Staff did nothing to stop it beyond threatening to call the police, then kept serving them alcohol. The nearby mosque can be heard up to five times a day, including at 4:45am, and its call echoes off the surrounding buildings. You won’t miss it if you’re staying here. The hotel looks amazing, and the rooms were nice, tidy, and clean. They were only properly cleaned maybe three times in my two weeks, though, and I had to leave towels by the door to get them changed. A fridge and kettle came with the room at no extra charge, but the coffee and milk sachets weren’t replaced often. Staff were friendly, but most didn’t speak English, so I had to use Google Translate to communicate. The spa manager also pestered me every day about getting a massage, repeatedly lowering the price. Food tasted nice but was very expensive: £65 for four people on our first night, and drinks were just as steep. Breakfast wasn’t much to look at. The same cereal, meats, and cheeses were reused, with only their positions changed; you could see them drying out and going stale. Staff watched while you ate and sometimes tried to take used plates and cutlery before you’d finished. Cameras are everywhere. You’re not allowed to eat or drink anything from outside by the pool, only in your room, or you’re told to get rid of it. The little shop on site charged £5 for a packet of Lays, even though they’re cheaper across the road, where the hotel buys them to stock its shop. There was no entertainment, and most nights there seemed to be more staff at the bar than guests. Extra TV channels cost £15 for two weeks, which is reasonable, but they sometimes froze or cut out, and most programmes were looped.

The pool was a highlight, large, sparkling clean, and lined with plenty of loungers. The hotel is beautifully kept, clean and comfortable, with spacious air-conditioned rooms, many with balconies looking over the pool or garden. From arrival, the warm Turkish hospitality and relaxed atmosphere made me feel at home. Staff were friendly, approachable, and always ready to help, whether arranging excursions, sharing local tips, or making sure we were comfortable. The restaurant had a nice range of fresh, tasty local and international dishes. I especially loved the Turkish bath (Hamam) and sauna. The bath felt rejuvenating, from the warm marble room to the body scrub and foam massage, relaxing and refreshing at each step. The sauna was immaculate and peaceful, a lovely break after exploring Marmaris or spending the day by the pool. Club Viva Hotel is a great mix of comfort, relaxation, and Turkish charm, whether you want to see Marmaris or just unwind. The bath and sauna alone made the stay memorable. I’d happily return and recommend it. Thank you MEHMET (Brad Pit ) for your support and guidance, and thank you Hassan for the best activities experience, an amazing cruise, and lots of fun.

I first stayed at Club Viva in the early 2010s, when it was all inclusive. It’s bed and breakfast now, but still has the same high standards. The staff were excellent, so friendly and helpful, and I liked my ground-floor room, with easy access to the pool and restaurant. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was well maintained, with a kettle, small fridge, air conditioning, shampoo, and body wash. Towels were changed every day. The pool was also well kept, 1.5 meters deep, and had a fun slide. Breakfast had a good mix of hot and cold items, including fried eggs, pancakes, and omelettes. There’s a reasonably priced hamam (Turkish Bath), plus a small lobby shop for snacks and souvenirs. I enjoyed it enough to book another week for later this year.
