The location was handy, with shops and the beach a short distance away. For the price, the hotel was about what I expected, and the room itself was fine, though the open shower made it hard to wash without flooding the bathroom. That happened every time, and there wasn’t even a bath mat. The bedding was another letdown: no duvet or proper bedcovers, just a small towel-like blanket. The pool was much smaller than it looked in the website photo and closed to guests after 6 p.m., which was a shame in the heat. Breakfast was included, but only the Turkish option was free; English breakfast cost extra. The food was okay, nothing special, and the machine drinks, both juices and hot beverages, tasted watered down and bad. At check-in, the receptionist baffled me by saying that if we took care of him, he’d give us good service or a good room.

The rooms are basic, as you’d expect at this price, but mine was really clean, the beds were comfy and housekeeping came every day. There’s a pool too. What made Ekin hotel feel so welcoming was Mohamir, his family and the staff. They looked after everything I needed, and as a solo traveler I never felt on my own. They really went above and beyond. I can see why so many people come back. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The hotel was clean, and I really liked my room. It was quite spacious, with a choice of double or single bed, and it was cleaned each day while I was out. Bring your own shower things, though, because only soap is provided. The owners are a lovely, smiling couple who speak English very well and were ready to help with anything. Getting around was easier than the map made it seem. It’s about 12 minutes to the beach on foot, and around 15-20 minutes to the marina, with roughly seven minutes to the main road. I enjoy walking, so the distance suited me. The quiet neighborhood has a few small shops and hairdressers. Minibuses pass nearby, and tour buses can pick you up there too. Breakfast comes with the room. If you want lunch or dinner, they’ll help arrange an order, and my food arrived in about five minutes. There’s also a bar with plenty of drinks. Enjoy your holiday!
