Fortezza Beach Resort

Aruzhan is the best animator ever! She’s always happy, and without her our holiday could’ve been boring. We dance and laugh so much every time. You can trust her with your mood and, of course, your children!

We left after the first night because the stay was unbearable. The staff were repeatedly rude, and the rooms were in terrible shape with a strong damp smell. When we said we couldn’t stay in a room that smelled so strongly of moisture, they unprofessionally suggested spraying perfume to cover it up. Styrofoam cladding on the walls made it seem like they knew about the problem. The room was unbearably hot, and the air conditioning switched off whenever we opened the balcony doors. There were lots of insects and mosquitoes too. The restaurant dishes were dirty, which is unacceptable for a hotel claiming five stars. We tried other rooms, but they were worse, with stronger smells, no WiFi and the same poor conditions. This is nowhere near five-star quality, and I don’t think it would even qualify as two stars.

I enjoyed my trip and was satisfied with the stay overall. The rooms were good enough, and the employees were very nice except for the receptionists, who had a bad attitude. Room service also never replaced my soap or shampoo. The beach and pools, with their really nice view, deserve five stars from the outside. Inside the hotel was the downside.

The view and the sea were great, and that’s the only reason I’m giving two stars. Our rooms had no internet, and the connection was really poor. The food had little variety, with chicken every day and no meat. The minibar had only water, unless you asked reception. The restaurant was unbearably hot because the air conditioner wasn’t working. The rooms weren’t very clean, and there were lots of bees and mosquitoes. The bars served the same drinks with no other choices. There was no à la carte restaurant, and the animators spoke only Russian. Okan the bartender was doing a really good job, though, and I loved his drinks. This hotel doesn’t deserve five stars.
