The place is peaceful and has a lovely view, and you don't find that kind of setting at other hotels in this area. The staff were kind, the food was a really good selection, the pool was nice, and the sea was warm. If you're going to this area, don't forget to try the boat trips. Golmar Beach is an average hotel, not for people expecting the highest level of luxury. Cleanliness could be better: the family room was cleaned more often than the regular room for two. But if you're focused on resting and not the room, it was fine. Thanks to everyone at Golmar Beach Hotel for the warm welcome and lovely holiday.

The beach was tiny, with sunbeds packed close together, and the pool water smelled like sweat. Towels weren't always available, which was frustrating since we needed them for the beach. Drinks were only available until 11 pm, and two drink spots weren't enough. There was no air conditioning outside the bedrooms, so even the lobby and cafeteria were hot. We waited an hour and a half for our rooms even though it was already 2 o'clock, the check-in time. The rooms were far too small and dirty, even after we asked for another cleaning. The bathroom was old and filthy, and the rooms looked dated overall. Food was poor, with little variety and the same dishes every day. Service wasn't good either. For this low standard, the price is ridiculous. The whole hotel felt dirty, and I wouldn't recommend it for a nice holiday.

After 10 days here, I wouldn't stay again. The dining area needs updating, especially the tables, which could be replaced or at least covered with tablecloths. The food was terrible, our room wasn't cleaned, and the towels and sheets weren't changed regularly, so we had to ask for them. The staff didn't make us feel welcome.

The food was a highlight for us, with fresh, delicious Mediterranean dishes at the breakfast and dinner buffets. Our 10-year-old even tried fruits and vegetables she normally avoids, and the kitchen staff were very accommodating. We stayed for three weeks last year and came back this year. The location is amazing, the private beach feels secluded, and the pool works well for kids and adults. Most rooms seem to have at least a partial view, but our favorite spot was the sun deck facing straight out to the ocean. The hotel is dated and could use a facelift, but we found it clean and comfortable. The housekeeping team and all the other staff we met seemed keen to help. We suspect prices will rightly rise once the renovations are done. If you're on a budget, enjoy the location and service while you can. This place is a find.
