Grand Cettia Hotel

The evenings were a treat, with a different show each night, mixing music, dancing and guest acts that kept people laughing. We often stayed out later than we'd planned because the atmosphere was so good. Bar staff were lovely, always smiling and quick even when busy. During the day, the pool area was good and we joined some activities. The entertainment team kept things fun without making it too loud or pushy, and Harry stood out for his energy and humour. The staff were amazing, and the all inclusive food was much better than I'd expected. My husband and I wanted a week to relax in the sun and spend time together, and that's exactly what we got. The hotel is beautifully kept and has a calm, welcoming feel. We've just returned and could happily have stayed another week. We're already talking about coming back next year.

We're six days into our stay with a few more to go, and The Grand Cettia has been outstanding. The hotel is full of talent, from the maids and receptionists right through to management. Every name I've mentioned has been fantastic. The all inclusive service has been fast, polite and efficient at every bar. No request was too much trouble, and even when things were busy, staff greeted us with a refreshing smile. I run pubs and bars myself, so their work ethic and efficiency really stood out. Batin, Mete and his twin made a point of exceeding every guest's needs and expectations. Sebo is the star of the bar for me, his exceptional, fast paced service can't be beaten. The entertainment team have also been fabulous, with banter and a full schedule of fun, interactive activities for all ages from morning until the bar closes at night. Dennis, Jon, Harry, Amy and Barney deserve masses of praise for doing such a fantastic job. The Grand Cettia gets a big thumbs up from the Beare's 👍

The entertainment is what makes this hotel. The boys had us laughing every day and there were loads of activities. My wife loved aqua gym, I was into darts, and the kids wanted to go to the kids club every day. The girls run it really well, and they're English, which made it easier than at other places we've been. They went above and beyond, even running to the pharmacy when our little one needed antihistamines. All of them went out of their way for us. Five star entertainment, and we'll definitely be back for it.

The food was the worst I've ever tried at an all inclusive hotel, and there weren't many drinks on the all inclusive menu. They asked me to pay for iced coffee because it wasn't included. Even with all inclusive, there was no refill of drinks or water in the room. Restaurant tables were dirty and sticky. Our bathroom on the fifth floor had mould and the room was very low standard. We moved to the third floor, where there were bed bugs. When I told staff, they said it was no problem and just mosquitoes, grrr. The website says the indoor pool is heated, but that's a joke. Definitely not a four star hotel.
