Emre Beach & Emre Hotel

This was our fifth visit, and each time we’ve seen small improvements. The quality and choice of food are amazing, thanks to executive chef Akin and his team. The waiting staff were attentive, and Fatima looked after us at meald. Emel’s poached eggs with spinach and hollandaise sauce are amazing. Alf keeps the dining area spotless and takes care of the plants, and thanks as well to the cleaners for keeping the rooms clean. Oman and his team in the Hair corner did a great job, and I’m delighted with my hair. It’s a long way to travel from Scotland, but thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏

The location makes it easy to get around, with the harbour about a 30-minute walk or 10-minute bus ride away. We’ve stayed here many times before, but chose it for our honeymoon so we could relax after a busy stretch, and it was a great decision. The meals were a pleasure, with lots of variety, rotating specials and tasty staples. There was almost too much to choose from. Housekeeping were some of the loveliest and most professional people I’ve met. Our room was always spotless, and they greeted us with a smile whenever we crossed paths. Every staff member made us feel welcome and worked to make sure we were happy and comfortable. Special mention to Erdem in the restaurant, who was attentive, kept our drinks coming and eventually had our breakfast, lunch and dinner orders memorized. That made everything feel seamless. The entertainment and animation team were spectacular, friendly with everyone and full of fun. They gave it their all during the day and evening, whether it was water polo, chatting or dancing at the terrace bar. Ayu and the team at the Artemis spa were amazing. We booked the romantic couples package, which was a bargain for what you get and a relaxing way to start the holiday. It was so good that we returned for more at the end. Whether you’re coming with a partner or family, this hotel has what you need and more. We’re already planning our fifth visit next year, which is unusual for my wife and me, but this place has our hearts. Thank you to everyone at Emre Beach for a great honeymoon ❤️

The food was good, with Turkish dishes to try, and the waiter serving the downstairs smoking area was lovely. He remembered us each day and was happy to help. For a first trip to Turkey, it was a good stay, and we weren’t sure what to expect as a young couple or how we’d be treated. We first got a room in the hotel across the road, above the Maine reception and facing the main road. The traffic and horns made it hard to sleep. It wasn’t a huge deal, but in the morning we asked at the desk. A really nice young worker, whose name I wish I knew, seemed possibly new but checked with others and sorted a room change quickly. He walked us to a modern, clean room facing the opposite way, with a better view. We kind of lucked out. In the rush to repack, I locked my suitcase with the key inside 🥲. The same worker came to help, brought in maintenance to open it, and later helped with the safe after we somehow messed it up. As first-time travelers, mistakes happen. He put us at ease, laughed along with us and was always happy to see us. He was incredible. If it were me, I might have avoided us 🤣. I really wish I knew his name. Thank you.

The food was a real highlight, with a mind-boggling range of cuisines to suit everyone. You might want to pack larger clothes! The hotel’s facilities were excellent: several bars and restaurants, a spa with massage rooms, steam room and sauna, an indoor pool, two large outdoor pools and a gym. Everything was immaculate, and the staff were attentive. We also used the in-house hair and beauty salon twice for haircuts and a facial. The staff were fantastic and the prices very fair. The Emre Hotel and Spa was my first stay in Turkey. It’s well located, though the centre of Marmaris is about a mile away on foot. The only issue was the electricity in our room, which worked inconsistently. Two visits from the electrician only partly fixed it. Still, we really enjoyed the stay and will be back.
