Ideal Pearl Hotel

Mr Fish, just behind the hotel, runs a small Mr Travel franchise and was one of the loveliest people we met on holiday. He arranged a genuine Turkish bath, massages, and a great all-inclusive boat trip, all much cheaper than booking through the hotel. Ideal Pearl is a small, friendly, spotless hotel, with 114 rooms over five floors, a relaxed buffet restaurant, and a pool bar. It's a short walk to the beach and local shops. The staff were hardworking, welcoming, and always happy to help. Rooms are compact and have limited storage, so we lived out of our suitcases, but that was fine. Food was lovely and good quality, with some variety and themed nights. The bar was calm and had everything we needed for a quiet drink by the pool. Evening entertainment was brief but fun, with bingo, quizzes, and local DJs. There were lots of laughs among the mostly British guests. We found the hotel clean, comfortable, and good value. We'll definitely be back and recommend it.

The Turkish Bath was fabulous, and I'd highly recommend it. The hotel has a lot of room for improvement, though. The pool area is far too small and crowded, so we avoided it, while the beach had free sunloungers with mattresses and more space. They only asked that you buy a drink, so coffee was just 4 euros. We were on level 4 and had a really pokey room. It was clean, but tea and coffee weren't always replenished, though staff sorted it whenever we asked. The bed was too hard, the shower cubicle was ridiculously small, like a gym locker, and the sheet wasn't big enough for a double bed. There were hardly any comfy chairs or sofas around the hotel apart from reception. Noise from the location was an issue, and smoking in the main areas needs to be addressed. Tobacco came through the ventilation into our room, with smokers at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Only the lower-floor bedrooms are smoke-free, but they're right above the dining area. Food was okay, with plenty of salads. For a late checkout, expect to pay £50. Easy Jet should arrange a deal, since the flight home is late. It's adults only, so I expected relaxing chillout areas with matching music and more extras, like pool towels and dressing gowns.

The hotel itself was good value. We had a wonderful three days, and the food, pool, cleanliness, and location were all excellent. The whole team was attentive and caring, and Eylem helped us. We plan to go back. We didn't stay long at Mr. Fish, and I wouldn't recommend it. At the spa, my friend and I both asked for a woman, but our request wasn't really taken seriously. They weren't very helpful, and because my friend and I couldn't understand each other, I felt hesitant. I didn't like the massage at all. In the reviews, my friend and I had praised other staff, and I wish we'd chosen one of them instead. If you try the spa, don't choose the girls or you'll waste your money.

We had a great week with friends. The hotel is for guests aged 16 and over, with plenty of entertainment during the day and in the evening. There's a spa with a sauna, gym, beauty rooms, and Turkish bath, plus a small pool with enough space when it's off season. The food was okay, and we could always find something to eat.
