Intermar Hotel

AVOID THE BARBERS RENTING A UNIT FROM THIS HOTEL!!! They aren’t the hotel, but the unit is part of it. I’ve since found out they’re a known tourist trap. They keep getting their barbers listing taken down to avoid these reviews. They may quote a price like “12,” which you might think means £GBP, but they mean lira, or 1200. A shave could cost anything from £25-£40, and as a tourist you’ve no chance of arguing with them. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

The food was very tasty and varied, and the staff were phenomenal. Ozgur was especially cordial and kind, and we felt as if we’d known him for years. The hotel is in a great central location near the beach. We left Marmaris and Intermar Hotel with the best impressions!

The loud music from bars on the main street beside the hotel was the biggest problem. It played very loudly until 1am almost every day. The food was pretty fine, and the rooms were old but clean. The staff were really nice, especially the receptionist and the people clearing tables. Special thanks to the young man with black hair who worked so quickly at lunch and was always ready to help. Lovely people, even though the rooms could be better.

The furniture is very old and broken, the toilet seat is damaged, and there’s a bad smell. The air conditioner is old and doesn’t work well, and the hotel needs full maintenance. Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby, which gets too hot, and the AC is on only some of the day. The dining room has no air conditioning. Food that needs refrigeration is left without it, and mosquitoes fly over it. The pool is big but needs cleaning, and the slide runs for only 30 minutes in the whole day. I know it’s a three-star hotel, but based on my experience in many hotels in different countries, I’d give it half a star at most. These pictures were taken in room 421. I don’t recommend this hotel.
