Marmaris Bay Resort - Adults Only

We had a wonderful holiday at Marmaris Bay resort hotel, thanks in large part to the hardworking, friendly team. In the main restaurant, Munire, Enes Yilmaz, and Caner always greeted us with lovely smiles and excellent service. Abu, our bar waiter at the Sea Salt Bar, was energetic, always smiling, and gave us excellent table service with the cocktails. Esin in guest relations was helpful, friendly, and proactive throughout. The setting is lovely, and the staff made the holiday an absolute pleasure. It’s a lovely 5 star hotel. Thank you to the team.

Especially good if you love cats. There’s loads to do, and the spa and water sports sellers are polite, not pushy. I’d recommend the water sports. Staff in all the bars and restaurants were kind, funny, and amazing. The rooms are lovely little lodge-style buildings among the woods, quiet at night. You can sunbathe in sunny or shaded spots, with both lively and quiet areas. Just be aware your room might be a long walk away, though there’s a buggy service. Marmaris is also far away, but you can get there by water taxi, regular taxis, or bus.

We spent 10 nights at Marmaris Bay Resort in early September and loved the peaceful forest setting. We wanted to be away from everything, including Marmaris, and that’s exactly where it is. There’s a water taxi from the hotel several times a day if you want to go across, so there’s no rush. The grounds and hotel were clean, well maintained, and very relaxed. Cats were around, generally staying in a couple of garden areas, and weren’t a problem at the pools or restaurants. There’s some walking between the rooms and main hotel, but we didn’t mind enjoying the scenery. Watch out on the stairs. Our room was clean and nicely presented with a sea view. The bathroom felt a little dated, but that didn’t bother us. Air conditioning worked fine, though it switches off when you open or close the main door. There wasn’t much English-language TV, also not an issue for us. We liked having a quiet pool without music or entertainment, though we mostly used the entertainment pool or private hotel beach. Sunbeds were always available, unlike at many hotels we’ve visited. Staff were very friendly and engaging, especially the entertainment and restaurant teams. Food was good each day, with nice seafood and freshly cooked chicken or steak on alternating days. Drink choices were okay, but the bar could use a couple more cocktails. Sea Salt bar had more sections. The coffee machine in the chill-out area was a nice touch for reading while enjoying the quiet forest. Fantastic holiday, and although we usually don’t return to the same place, we’ll be back more than once.

The food was filling and delicious, especially the desserts, and the sea and surrounding nature were beautiful for walks. Of the cabins I’ve stayed in around Turkey, this was the quietest. The hotel’s location is fantastic. I didn’t know what a shared taxi was, so I took a taxi to the city center. The rooms can feel tiring, but they’re comfortable. Kate was helpful, and it’s wonderful when someone speaks our language. My friends, come.
