Marmaris Beach Hotel

I’d stay again. The music wasn’t bad enough to put me off, even though this is the lively part of town with restaurants and bars. The noise usually stops by 1am at the latest. The location is central, with its own swimming beach, and the hotel is clean and updated. Staff are really friendly, and the view is very nice. There’s a refreshing freshwater pool and seating area on the rear terrace. The rooms are very small, with no space to leave a large suitcase open. There’s no parking on site, but valet parking is available and they leave the car somewhere on the back streets. That’s normal for hotels along this beach strip. Breakfast is minimal and served at the restaurant. It comes from another business, so I can’t really blame the hotel, though as it’s included in the package they’re still somewhat responsible. Just don’t expect the same service or quality as the hotel itself.

Breakfast was part of the package we booked, but each morning the staff acted as though we were asking for an extra. Their manner made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. It came across as unprofessional, and unfortunately left us disappointed with the stay.

We felt warmly welcomed, and the staff were really friendly. The hotel is right by the beach in the tourist area, with the city center and Grand Bazaar close by too. We had a pleasant stay and would recommend it.

The noise made it impossible to sleep, and the staff were rude. When I asked to cancel the next day's reservation, they refused, and I couldn't speak with the manager because he doesn't speak English. They had said they would charge only half in advance, but took the full amount before I arrived without my permission. This has been my worst hotel experience in Turkey so far. I'd avoid this place.
