Reis Maris Hotel

The beach is close by, and that’s the only thing I liked. Everything else was dirty, including the beds, bathroom, and balcony. There was no toilet paper or cleaning supplies, the wifi barely connected, and the service was really bad. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Never again.

I’d rate it a 4. It doesn’t make 5, but 3 feels too low. It’s fine for a holiday or a short visit, with the beach about five minutes away and shops nearby, from groceries to other shopping. You can rent a car at the hotel and see all of Marmaris, which should take a day. The room repairs and furniture are old, but the place is clean and cozy. The bed linen had no stains and the towels were fresh. There’s a fridge and hairdryer, but no safe. The rooftop pool is really cool for this area and has a good view. I can’t really judge the food. I had breakfast during quarantine, when there was no buffet, just a plate with a boiled egg, cucumber, tomato, cheese, and sweet jams. Better to skip breakfast during quarantine and buy fresh pastries at a bakery or cafe. The staff barely speak English.

We paid for two nights, but only stayed until 1am because it was so bad. The staff were rude, and no one helped with our bags. There’s no elevator, and they didn’t even serve water. The kitchen, which should have been clean, was filthy and nasty. The beds were worse than everything else, and I got an allergy from the dirt. The balcony door and window were broken, the water was dirty, and the fridge didn’t work. It’s the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. Don’t go there.

The way I was treated was terrible. It felt like they saw me only as money, like a gang. Six employees came into my room and took my phone, so I went to the police afterward. They sent a man with us to collect our belongings and move to another hotel, and that policeman took $50 from us as a bribe. Very bad people. It was my last time in marmaris. If you’re a girl, they’ll treat you well because they have a reason.
