Marmaris Castle Hotel

The owner was nice, and the location and view were good, but everything else was bad. The place is run down and felt dangerous. The bathroom leaked in several places, the carpets were stained, it smelled bad, and the heater didn't work. I badly cut my finger on the entrance door on our last day. We paid online in advance for two nights and barely made it through one. We couldn't get a refund. The condition is so poor it should be closed until it's properly renovated. The low price doesn't make up for that.

We came as a family of three to Marmaris because we were uneasy about staying in large hotels during the pandemic. We hadn't booked ahead, wanting to find somewhere central that suited us. It was already a little late when we arrived, but the staff were attentive while handling our booking and welcome, so we decided to try one night. We thought we'd look for somewhere better the next day. The room was extremely clean, the view magnificent, and the location undeniably perfect. The bathroom, though, wasn't up to our expectations. Breakfast on the terrace the next morning changed our minds. The breakfast was excellent, and after meeting the people running the hotel, we decided to stay for three nights. Berna and her husband have taken over and are personally handling the renovations and other work. They're steadily moving the place toward the standards they want. Before we even brought up the bathrooms, they told us they knew about them and they were nearly there. Given the excellent service for the price, we don't feel more criticism is warranted. The value and service were more than satisfactory, and every day was a wonderful experience. We went to different places and swam in the sea during the day. The boat tour leaves right in front of the hotel, and in the evenings we sat on the terrace until late. The breakfasts were delicious. Thanks to Servet for welcoming us and looking after our rooms. We had a lovely time in a warm, family atmosphere, and highly recommend it. We'd gladly visit again.

My mother and I spent nine nights here and were very happy with our stay. It's clean and in a perfect location. There are rooms with sea views, and the beach is very close. Marmaris castle and the historic houses are right behind the hotel. From the back road, Bar Street is a one-minute walk away; the marina is across the street, also about a minute on foot, and tours can be joined from there. It's a perfect family hotel. The owners are warm, attentive, and helpful. We had a wonderful holiday. Thank you for everything, we're so glad you exist.
