Prestige Hotel & Apart

We’ve just got back and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were dated, but very clean and had everything we needed. Cleaners came every day and did a great job in the room and around the hotel. The food was nice, with different dishes daily, though more English options would’ve been welcome. The pool was cleaned every night and the staff were always friendly and easy to approach. There wasn’t any evening entertainment, which was the one thing missing. Still, it was a good hotel and I’d definitely go back.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, but I did book a Turkish haman. The manager gave me a very odd feeling. The therapist was a poor girl, very young, maybe about 15. I don’t know if it was her first week. She was nice, but the spa experience itself was unpleasant. The ladies’ changing room didn’t even have a lock, so anyone could walk in. The bathroom and toilet smelled damp and looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. During the Hammam, the mitt she scrubbed me with smelled damp too, and it wasn’t a good Turkish bath. Afterward she took me to a massage room without giving me time to dry off, and asked me to sit on the bed. It was already wet from the previous client. I just wanted to finish the massage and get out. She rubbed cream into my wet skin, which was horrible, and I was freezing and shivering. After it ended, I asked if I could sit in the sauna to warm up. When I was done, I got out of there as fast as I could. Don’t waste your money here. I do not recommend it to anyone.

We had a beautiful 7 days here. There isn’t much entertainment, which suited us with our 3 year old, and the food was alright for what we paid. Everyone was brilliant with my daughter, especially the bar staff. Don’t let the reviews put you off. I can’t wait to come back already.

We spent a week here in September. It’s basic but clean, and had everything we needed. The all-inclusive food was decent, especially lunch and dinner, which were beautiful. Drinks were good too, with lots to choose from. This side of town is a bit rough, for want of a better phrase, but the old town is gorgeous and about a 30-minute walk away. You can catch a bus or boat taxi to Icmeler from just outside the hotel. The bus is less than £1 and the boat taxi costs £5. Get Your Guide had plenty of excursions that picked us up at the hotel. I highly recommend the Yuvarlakcay and Akyaka river cruise if you want something to do. The scenery was some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen, and it was a chance to get away from the more touristy places for a day. If I return to Marmaris, I’d definitely consider staying here again.
