Corendon Iassos Modern Hotel

The sea is lovely, and having a pool makes the place even nicer. It’s a quiet site, and the extra construction has only just wrapped up, so the area has just stopped feeling like a worksite. There are a few small problems, which hopefully get sorted soon.

Migros is just a short walk away, and the complex has its own beach with sunbeds. This is the best-kept residential complex in Kıyıkışlacık, and a good choice for a calm holiday away from crowds and noise.

The resort’s own beach is the better option, and the water there is usually warmer. Zeytinlikuyu is about a 10-minute drive if you have a car or can check the minibus times, with shops, markets, and restaurants. Swimming there wasn’t appealing to us: the water is wavy and cloudy, and camping families make it crowded and disorganized. Nearby, Şok is the only supermarket, while the seaside restaurant is the only place to eat, with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. The resort itself is quiet, about a 10-minute walk from the sea, and has its own sun lounger and umbrella area plus different apartment types. The tennis court can also be used for basketball. There’s a large pool with a slide, but sadly it’s temporarily out of service.

You get a fully furnished apartment here, and can choose one with a garden or a pool. We stayed with our family for a week in 2013, and have never felt as comfortable in another hotel, before or since. From arrival until it’s time to leave, it feels like being at home. Have a lovely holiday.
